NIGC planning to implement natural gas comprehensive plan
The plan has been formulated to expand the natural gas conveyance grid and give priority to the development of the related projects across the nation, noted an official with the company.
Supplying the natural gas requirements for the production sector, providing the pressure boosting stations along the urban gas pipeline as well as enhancing exports of the commodity are the main issues regarded in the natural gas comprehensive plan, said Asghar Soheili.
Given the fact that the nation’s gas consumption is expected to hit over 211 billion cubic meters by the end of the Fourth Five-Year Development Plan, implementation of the plan would play a significant role in preventing natural gas shortages and possible cutoffs during the cold season, the official further explained.
